Architecture
The CIX40 is Toshiba's newest and smallest VoIP telecommunications' product offering.

Although small in size, 12" wide x 18" long and 3.5" deep, the CIX40 provides significant capacity and capabilities. The cabinet's main board provides three central office lines, eight digital stations and one analog station. In addition two music on hold ports, an external paging port and a relay control contact are provided.
Capacity is increased by plugging in a 3 x 8 expansion card and/or an eight channel VoIP card. Integrated voicemail can be added, by plugging the GVPH1 card into the main system board, adding up to eight ports of voicemail, 10,000 mailboxes and ten hours of storage and auto-attendant capability.
Installation is very easy. Four screws are required to hold the wall mounted cabinet, but it can be easily converted to a rackmount installation. One amphenol connector provides the connecting point to the station-side 66 block or patch panel, depending on installation preference. Trunk connections are via RJ11 connectors on the main and expansion board. Dedicated Music on Hold and relay ports are also on the main board. IP connection are via the LIPU board's RJ45 connector.
